Boost backs fast-growing portal for Lancashire businesses

Boost; Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub has given its backing to a fast-growing online portal for the county’s businesses.

Boost has committed to working with Lancashare – an online resource to help support business owners and managers across the county by encouraging networking and cooperation. Lancashare aims to bring the county’s businesses together through a single resource where they can liaise, share best practice, generate leads, support local businesses, find out about funding, events, awards, training, networking groups and access to local talent.

Andrew Leeming, Boost programme manager, said: “Supporting Lancashare makes perfect sense for Boost, we’re both working with and advising ambitious businesses and many of the services each party offers complement one another, making us ideal partners.

“The Lancashare portal is of huge value to the county’s businesses – encouraging the development of local supply chains and collaborative working that will help the county’s businesses to get growing.” Lisa Edge, director of Lancashare, added: “The response to Lancashare has been overwhelming and we’re thrilled to have Boost on board.

As part of the deal, the range of business support options available from Boost have been listed on Lancashare’s business support portal.” “I’ve been part of the business community in Lancashire for almost 20 years and I have seen first-hand the difference that the support available through Boost can make to a business."
