This popular network was launched in 2015 and is aimed specifically at the Property and Construction sectors.

The network is designed to provide Lancashire based property and construction businesses with access to information, upcoming contracts, opportunities and best practice insights as well as providing a forum to meet with peers from within the industry.

Join us on 25 November from 08:00 – 09:30 to find out about upcoming opportunities from guest speakers John Boys, Director at Boys Holdings Plc and Jo Pepper, Employment and Training Manager at Procure Plus. We’ll also hear from David Lord, Head of Construction at Burnley College.

About B&E Boys Construction

Founded as a joinery business back in 1961, B&E Boys has grown from small joinery building contracts to become a major player in construction development in the North West region. In 1986 B&E Boys (Properties) Ltd was established in order to meet the demands of the market. This company was created specifically for the property rentals and acquisitions market. Boys own and let over 500 properties in the Lancashire area.

B&E Boys established the Homes Division in 1973. In its first two years, the division built over 60 properties and has maintained a presence within the housing market ever since. In 1988 B&E Boys established a Developments Division developing several industrial and commercial sites in the North West and Yorkshire.

Take full advantage of the CSF and OSE funding

Jo Pepper, Employment & Training Manager at Procure Plus will deliver a presentation about the provision of ‘Employment and Site Ready’ people from the local communities, who employers can feel confident are well-suited to the industry and are quickly recruited and acclimatised. Also, boosting social value delivery without any attached fee.

Procure Plus Holdings is a commercial not for profit company that specialises in the procurement of goods and services relating to new-build and repair and maintenance and repairs for a wide range of social housing clients, saving between 10% and 20% with no diminution of quality. The housing stock is owned by their clients, who are largely registered social housing providers.

Construction Vision

David Lord, Head of Construction at Burnley College will provide a brief overview of the Division of Construction at the college. He will also discuss how they support the members of their new Construction Vision group, which was set up just before lockdown. David is always keen to recruit new members who can be intrinsic to curriculum developments and how they shape the curriculum to support the industry going forward.

Unlike many networks Construction Connections is a closed group and focuses on the needs of Property and Construction businesses only.  This event is currently free to attend. Non-members from within the sector are welcome.
