In this session, Caroline Pett an Anti-Anxiety Specialist will share simple but powerful techniques you can use anytime, anywhere to calm yourself and reduce anxiety. She will also touch on changes you can make long term to address unhelpful thoughts, worries, habits or behaviours.

The media is alive with reports about the rise in anxiety across every sector in our community. This makes it more important than ever to know what anxiety is, how it affects people and, most importantly, what you can do to support yourself and those around you. Giving your teams (and yourself) the right support, coping strategies and understanding can prevent anxiety impacting wellbeing and causing absences – both of which have a massive impact on business, especially small business and sole traders.

Anxiety is different for everyone, for some it is overwhelming thoughts or worries, others have habits or behaviours that impact them, such as phobias, OCD or addictions. Our guest speaker Caroline Pett will share really simple techniques which she uses to help people with feelings of anxiety, however they manifest for them. She will also touch on changes you can make long term to address the issues causing the anxiety.

The event will run between 9.30am and 10.45am:

  • 9.30am – For the first 5 minutes we’ll make sure everyone can access and use Zoom successfully and welcome you all.
  • 9.35am – Speedy Introductions – Your chance to introduce yourself and your business.
  • 10.00am (roughly) – Guest speaker: Caroline Pett (details above)
  • 10.30am (roughly) – Open Q&A – Your chance to ask Caroline any questions you wish or bring up topical matters for discussion with all registrants.
  • 10.45am – Event close.
