Please note this award is a 4 week programme and to receive your award you must attend all 4 sessions (Tuesdays 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd March 2021).  This award is part of a suite of qualifications awarded by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

In order to meet the demands of an ever changing workplace, individuals need to ensure they continue to update and develop their knowledge and skills.

Planning for personal and professional development ensures greater opportunities for success.

The purpose of the unit is to support the manager to identify the benefits of engaging in personal and professional development.

By using the knowledge gained, a meaningful development plan will be created to support them to become an effective manager in the workplace.

This course is brought to you as part of a suite of courses funded by the Leading Lancashire Project.  Lancaster and Morecambe College have successfully secured European Social Funding to support employees of all ages to develop effective leadership and management skills as well as digital skills. The Leading Lancashire project will work with SMEs and the self-employed in the following Lancashire Local Enterprise Partnership priority sectors; Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing, Energy & Environment, Digital, Creative, Visitor Economy, Financial Services and Construction.

Any training provided by the Project is completely free of charge and there’s no limit to the number of courses you can register for.

In order to be eligible for the free training the business or self-employed individual must:

  • Have its registered company address in Lancashire
  • Employ no more than 250 employees.
