Our North West HR Employers Forums are supported by HR professionals who are at the forefront of developing and delivering best practice in their field.

Our Forums are organised twice a year with regular slots from Forbes Employment Solicitors, Co-Creation Group Leadership and Management Specialists, and guest speakers who present on relevant HR and employment topics.

The Forum also offers attendees an excellent networking opportunity with business owners and HR Practitioners.

In this session, we will explore why the use of mediation can be an effective workplace dispute resolution tool. The session will cover various conflict styles, the reasons why conflicts can occur in the workplace, and an awareness of different methods of dispute resolution. We will also take a more in-depth look at mediation: what it is, what its benefits are, and how we can effectively utilise the process.

How to influence like a hostage negotiator – What is the key skill of a hostage negotiator? In this exciting and innovative session, Nigel, former UK hostage negotiator and communications expert, explores the real hostage negotiator superpower – the ability to connect, develop trust, get people talking and influence them using elite-level listening. How much information, how much business, are you and your team missing out on because of a lack of listening and what can you do to ensure that opportunities are maximised?
