A funded course for women seeking employment or setting up a business
In collaboration with the WEA, we have funding to run skills training courses for women who are deemed to be economically inactive. If you have suffered during the Covid-19 pandemic and you don’t know where to go next, this can offer the support you need.
This six-week course is for you if you are:
- In low paid work
- Living on benefits
- Have a long term health issue
- A lone parent
- A carer
- Leaving domestic violence
- Facing redundancy
And you are looking for a job, further education or self-employment
The course will look at:
- Your existing skills
- New opportunities
- Confidence building and communication skills
- Available support
These sessions are run in small, supportive groups.
The course starts on Wednesday 4 November in Lancaster, and will run for six Wednesdays.
The course will be delivered in a socially distanced environment with all necessary PPE to be worn by trainers and delegates. The location will be risk assessed and the training delivered will be strictly in accordance with the Government guidance which prevails at the time.
