“The DIT Internationalisation Fund is great way to expand and develop your export activities.  With help and guidance from the DIT, the Department for International Trade, we found the application process, clear and straight forward. We are looking forward to seeing the benefits of the project.”
Joe Murray, Group Chief Executive, Precision21 Ltd (Engineering)

“Compared with previous fund applications EDM have completed; we found the internationalisation fund process really simple, and we gained approval after a short period. The fund has supported EDM’s overseas marketing budget for 2021 allowing the business to expand its overseas activities and increase exposure in the industry.”
Lee Whittaker, Head of Sales, EDM Ltd (Aerospace)

“With regards to the recent Internationalisation fund £9k grant we received, from our perspective it was a very straightforward, online application process that took a few days to get approval. We used the funds to help pay for some strategic go to market research on our planned expansion into the USA that was hugely insightful and helped shape our expansion plans. We probably would not have done this were it not for the assisted grant funding – so thanks for that.

“I would recommend anyone thinking of setting up/selling overseas to reach out to their local DiT representative because from our experience they are extremely well connected, go out of their way to give you whatever support you need and, in our case, even alert you to funding/grants that are available that you may not know you are entitled to.”
Martin Balaam, CEO & Founder, Pimberly (Digital)

“We are glad we applied for the ESIF grant to help us with our Export Action Plan actions, such as visiting Japan and Germany on business development missions and translating our marketing brochures in 4 additional languages.”
Aaron Thomas, Co-Founder and Director, Trailar Ltd (Solar technology)

“I would encourage any Lancashire business who are exporting or looking to export to work with DIT. The Internationalisation Fund has helped pay for some of the activity required to increase our export business.

“Our international trade adviser, Liz Collier helped us with sales in China, the USA and more recently in Ireland, where she was able to locate a partner who is going to manage our imports.  Batch Innovation is a monthly spirit subscription club and we have used the funding to internationalise our website and develop targeted digital marketing content focused on establishing the club in Ireland.”
Phil Whitwell, Batch Brew Ltd (Food and Drink)
