With the support of Lancashire County Council, the Northern Automotive Alliance can now offer Lancashire businesses associate membership of the NAA until 31st March 2018.
Based in North West England, the NAA is an independent, not-for-profit company which provides a membership service combined with a project management delivery function to the automotive community. The NAA supports micro-companies through to the local global vehicle manufacturers, offering a diverse service using its established networks. This includes the provision of training, events, funding applications and strategic, business and technical advice.
The NAA was launched in March 2004 with support from regional government funding. From mid-2010 the funding landscape changed and the NAA became an independent company. The governance of the NAA is via a small number of directors and a large advisory board representing the local industry.
The NAA is a strong believer in partnership and collaborative working with both industry and relevant public sector organisations such as BIS, UKTI, MAS, universities, local councils and LEPs. The NAA also works with the relevant trade organisations including the SMMT, Automotive Council, EEF and SEMTA.
Free associate membership of the NAA includes:
- Free attendance at three networking meetings
- Opportunity to inform the Lancashire Skills Hub on the skills that are required in the industry, to allow it to direct resources to the right training and provision
- Access to advice and support regarding internships and graduate placements
- Access to information on Apprenticeships, the Apprenticeship Matching Service and the Levy
Who is it for?
The free membership offer is for automotive-related manufacturing and service companies in the Lancashire area – whether you are already active in the automotive sector or have ambitions to engage with the sector.
