Businesses in Lancashire, where staff cannot work from home during lockdown, can now register for workplace testing for employees not showing symptoms.

Lancashire County Council can provide rapid testing for staff, as well as training workforces so they can continue to regularly test themselves in the future. Free rapid tests are available for either use in the workplace or for employees to collect and take home, or a blended approach to suit individual organisations.

Rapid testing in the workplace helps to ensure businesses can continue to operate by identifying anyone who may be unknowingly passing the virus on to others. This helps safeguard staff members, their families and customers.

Results in 30 minutes

The tests are quick and easy to use and give results in 30 minutes. In Lancashire, we are encouraging repeat testing every 3 to 5 days.

If a member of your staff gets a positive result, then they must self-isolate immediately to prevent further transmission of the virus.

Businesses can register here.

Covid-19 Workplace Resource Packs

Lancashire County Council is also providing a handy Covid-19 resource pack for workplaces, which aims to help businesses to manage the virus safely.

The pack, created by Public Health England, is available to download online here, and includes guidance on what to do if you have a positive case of coronavirus at work, advice on testing and help with communicating this information to staff members. Also included in the pack are template letters to staff and documents to record Covid-19-related absences.

Download your pack today to ensure your workforce can continue to operate safely.
