Cube Thinking

Cube Thinking is a Lancashire-based consultancy and training practice with decades of experience and a strong team of specialists.

It has provided support to scaling Lancashire businesses for many years and has been Red Rose Award sponsors for the last five years.

Cube Thinking supports business growth through three key areas:

  • Process
  • Digital and data
  • Culture

Process

All businesses are shaped by the processes undertaken, yet often they have never been documented or reviewed for improvements. This can lead to variation in how the business provides services, makes products and the quality for customers may often be sub-standard.

Cube Thinking has deep experience of process mapping business operations and services. Its professional documentation allows total clarity and focus to improve outputs, reduce waste and drive up performance. Process workshops are facilitated in an inclusive and edutaining way to ensure all business process knowledge is captured.

Cube Thinking is an accredited Lean Six Sigma trainer and experienced in setting up Business Analysis and Change functions for businesses.

Digital & Data

It is common for a business to have many IT or digital systems, but often there is not the clarity on how they are used or the data that could be optimised from them.

Cube Thinking has experience from years of managing Business Intelligence functions to help lift the fog and review your systems inventory then optimise this to allow stronger data driven decisions. This allows the shaping of key business measures (KBOs, OKRs and KPIs) that are both relevant and based on sound secure data definitions that align to your stated business vision and plan.

With the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) the team has helped clients gain clarity on the business and systems requirements they need to optimise technology while also ‘doing the basics brilliantly’.

Culture

The best company cultures are designed. They do not happen by accident and Cube Thinking have provided services to many businesses and organisations that have enabled them to shape a culture that aligns with their true vision.

Each business has unique characteristics and we work with clients to understand the culture they wish for, while providing insights that can enhance that wish.

Cube Thinking provides culture design workshops that allow an inclusive facilitated space from which a clear culture code and roadmap. This is an unambiguous statement of the culture the business wants and how it will get there.

The approach at Cube Thinking is warm but thoroughly professional, and we start with understanding the client business story (usually over a coffee). Advice and solutions are informed by established and current business, insights alongside deep experience and partnerships with local universities and associated knowledge based organisations.

What one top tip would you give to a business owner embarking on a growth plan?

Recognise that one person does not have all the solutions, or bandwidth, to grow your business the right way.

You are not alone and there are specialists who can help you. Whether funded or commercial advice, training or coaching, you have access to support that will enable you to focus on your strengths while others can optimise theirs for you.

Why is Lancashire a great place to grow a business?

Lancashire is one of the kindest counties in the country (in our opinion!) and the mutual support networks enable conversations to start easily.  There is phenomenal business talent here and a passion to help each other grow through sharing of experiences, knowledge and collaboration.
