In the third in a series of interviews with our Boost Business Lancashire delivery partners, we speak to Steven Cochrane, Director of Regenerate Pennine Lancashire.

Explain Boost in one sentence

Boost enables businesses in Lancashire to access a range of support so they can grow and compete on a national and international level.

Why is Boost unique?

Boost simplifies business support in Lancashire. It links ambitious businesses to a range of support specialists, who will provide quality advice specific to a business’s needs.

What can companies expect from Boost?

Boost partners offer a comprehensive range of support to help growing companies reach their potential. Whether they are new or established, businesses can access all the information they need to help them increase sales, take on additional staff and raise finance.

What is Regenerate’s mission for Boost?

We want to work with our partners to ensure that Lancashire businesses get the best support and advice available to help them to start, grow and achieve their potential.

Which entrepreneur do you admire and why?

Too many to name, I have great admiration for the many Lancashire businesses that have started as small, often family run firms, and have grown to provide hundreds of jobs in their local communities.

What makes a great growing business leader?

Good leaders are able to develop a strong strategic vision for their company and are able to communicate and inspire those around them to deliver that vision.

Why is Lancashire a great place to do business?

As a proud Lancastrian – I would say the people! Lancashire has some fantastic business people and support organisations that genuinely care about the area, and are willing to work together to bring success and prosperity to Lancashire.
