Boost to work closely with government to support businesses through Business Growth Service

Bus Growth Service launch

Boost; Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub will work closely with government's Department for Business and Trade (DBT) through its new Business Growth Service, which is designed to make it easier for businesses across the UK, including Lancashire, to find and access support to start, grow and succeed.

The Business Growth Service, which has been launched by the government, helps businesses to access free, expert and impartial advice, including vital local support through Growth Hubs across England.

The new service addresses feedback from businesses that support has previously been difficult to navigate, by connecting support from the UK Government with the vital services also delivered through local partners.

Boost will continue to provide personalised support to local businesses while being able to connect them with wider government resources through the new integrated system of the Business Growth Service.

Andrew Leeming, programme manager, Boost said: “Boost has always helped businesses receive the right advice and guidance at the right time, and since 2013 we have helped 20,000 businesses in Lancashire.

“Partnering with our DBT colleagues through the Business Growth Service will help us to continue to support businesses across the county in the best way possible. It gives businesses an additional way to access support, whether that is tailored local support or national guidance, while further strengthening our links with national support, including government-led support.”

Businesses in Lancashire can access a wide range of support from the Business Growth Service at Business.gov.uk.
