Rosebud Finance seeks ambitious Lancashire companies

Rosebud Finance, which provides growth funding for Lancashire businesses, is looking to expand its portfolio as it approaches its 30th anniversary later this year. Rosebud provides loan and equity finance for businesses in growth sectors such as aerospace, healthcare, advanced manufacturing, creative and digital, energy and environmental technology, and financial and professional services.

The scheme is run by Lancashire County Developments Ltd (LCDL), the county council’s economic development company and managed by Preston-based Enterprise Ventures, led by Paul Taberner. Paul said: “In June it will be 30 years since LCC first established Rosebud Finance, considered pioneering when launched, and even more relevant today.

We are actively looking to expand the Rosebud portfolio and are keen to speak to established Lancashire based businesses that are seeking capital to grow their business. “We have a hugely experienced team and feedback consistently demonstrates that companies approach Rosebud because we understand their business and will provide a swift response to investment enquiries.

“The funding landscape has changed dramatically in recent years and Rosebud plays a strategic role in helping Lancashire SMEs access finance for growth, also helping them unlock other sources of finance as many banks and finance provider are reluctant to invest alone.”

Andy Walker, Lancashire County Council’s head of business growth, said: “We’re pleased that Rosebud has been helping so many businesses to attract other sources of funding. Over the last 30 years we have been able to support businesses across our key sectors and in various parts of the county, which has directly helped to safeguard existing jobs and create new ones here in Lancashire.”
