Four new jobs are set to be created at a Ribble Valley design and digital marketing company as part of its expansion plans following business support from Boost; Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub.
Tora Software, which specialises in creative, digital and business driven solutions for SMEs, was set up by director Jason Dahar in 2016.
After signing up to the Growth Support Programme, delivered by Enterprise4All, Jason met with Yusuf Musa, Growth Explorer. Together, they went through a comprehensive diagnostic of his skills, experience and growth aspirations for his business.
Jason enrolled onto a series of tailored masterclasses, designed to address potential issues within an individual business model, and find solutions to prevent or fix them.
Following participation in the workshops, Jason proceeded to complete additional tools designed to boost the growth of this business, including the Vision Orbit and the Business Model Canvas, which gave him a clear road map of his growth.
He’s also benefitted from one to one coaching, networking and an introduction to Access to Finance, which assists Lancashire businesses raising finance to fund growth.
Boost Business Lancashire (Boost) is the name for the Lancashire Business Growth Hub. It is led by the Lancashire LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) and Lancashire County Council and supported by funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
With the continued support from Boost and Enterprise4All, Tora Software now intends to take on a further four employees.
Jason said: “The support before, during and after the workshops from Boost Business Lancashire and Enterprise4all has been fantastic. I’ve made a lot of new contacts through the programme and we are now looking to expand our team with these new members.”
Yusuf Musa, Growth Explorer at Enterprise4All, added: “The Growth Support Programme was the perfect support package for Jason to help him grow his business, and it’s great to hear that there are already plans to boost the workforce with the creation of four additional roles.”
Boost has received £3.8m of funding from the England European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. The Department for Communities and Local Government is the Managing Authority for ERDF.
Established by the European Union, ERDF funds help local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation, businesses, create jobs and local community regenerations. For more information, visit www.gov.uk/european-growth-funding
