New doors are opened for award-winning digital agency Door4

Door 4 Boost

An award-winning digital agency is scaling the business and creating four more jobs for the region after receiving further support from Lancashire Rosebud Finance™.

Door4, which provides a host of digital marketing services, from SEO and PPC to website design, has received a £120,000 loan.

This follows the successful completion of several performance-based milestones, which were implemented alongside the first Rosebud™ investment made in early 2014.

Since then, Door4 has expanded from traditional website design to incorporate SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), which is reportedly worth over £500m annually in the UK, according to an article published by Econsultancy , amongst other marketing services.

Leon Calverley, Managing Director and Founder of Door4, said:

“This latest investment from Rosebud™ gives us backing to continue our growth plans. We’ve got a lot of exciting development ahead of us, especially as our core growth area of marketing automation becomes commonplace amongst enterprising businesses.

“The digital marketing field is increasingly competitive, and you have to be that bit better every day. With Rosebud behind us, we have that extra impetus for growth and improvement.”

The company has also acquired a Marketo licence, one of the leading marketing automation products, which will significantly streamline marketing campaigns for SMEs. Door4 has also achieved Google Partner status, which allows the company to expand its network of potential customers, and validates the digital marketing expertise of the team.

Existing Door4 customers include Hattrick, Magnet Trade, Tangerine, Napthens Solicitors and Boundary Mill Stores. The company also offers workshop sessions for businesses to develop their own in-house marketing teams.

Rosebud™ is a finance package supporting Lancashire firms to grow and expand their business. It is managed by Enterprise Ventures, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mercia Technologies PLC, on behalf of Lancashire County Developments Ltd (LCDL) – the county council’s economic development company.

Peter Rooney, Investment Manager at Enterprise Ventures, said:

“It is fantastic to see a business from the Rosebud portfolio achieve such growth. Rosebud™ is committed to supporting and growing businesses within the region, thus creating more jobs for the community. Leon and the team at Door4 are doing a great job of scaling their business and I am delighted that we can support them.”

County Councillor Niki Penney, chair of LCDL, said:

“We’re always proud when a company receives funding and support from Rosebud to improve their business, and then returns to us for the next stage of their plans. It really demonstrates the value of Rosebud™.

“Leon and the Door4 team are enthusiastic and very keen to share their marketing knowledge, which will benefit other businesses around Lancashire.

“It’s great to support people who are passionate about their work, as well as having clear growth plans, and we look forward to seeing the next step in their development.”
