Ribble Valley SME has growth funding covered

Wallsauce

A Ribchester-based business that creates custom-made wall murals for consumer and business customers worldwide plans to ramp up operations following a funding boost.

Omega Sky Limited, which trades as Wallsauce.com, has received a £250,000 loan from Lancashire Rosebud Finance™, a fund managed by Enterprise Ventures on behalf of Lancashire County Developments Limited (LCDL) – Lancashire County Council’s economic development company.

Since the company began its online trading three years ago, traffic to the company website has risen to around 100,000 visitors per month.  Wallsauce.com now holds No.1 positions on Google for a wide range of wall mural products, both in the UK and the USA.

The Wallsauce.com collection already includes a huge range of photography and artist designs alongside a service that allows customers to upload their own artwork or image to be produced as a wall mural via a seamless online process.

With a growing international customer base, which also includes a major British retailer, the company aims to use this boost to its finances to extend its online reach even further.  It also hopes to create five new jobs, widen its product range and launch a new mobile-friendly website.

Colin Watson, Co-Founder of Wallsauce.com said:

“Peter Rooney and the team at Enterprise Ventures have been great and clearly understood the potential for a business like ours.

“This new funding will help us to accelerate marketplace penetration over the next six to 12 months and stay on track to hopefully secure even more significant future funding as we see continued excellent growth in this next phase for the company.”

County Councillor, Niki Penney, Chair of Lancashire County Developments Limited said:

“This up-and-coming company has the potential to develop their business further, building on its already very impressive growth.

“We’re proud that Rosebud is supporting the company’s expansion, as it looks to widen its product range, gain new customers and create new jobs.

“This is the type of business we want to encourage in Lancashire, to bring vibrancy and wealth to the county.”

Peter Rooney, Investment Manager at Enterprise Ventures, said:

“We have been monitoring Wallsauce’s progress for a while now, and have been impressed with the dedication that both the management and the team have shown in helping this business find its feet.

“I am confident that Wallsauce.com will continue to grow, and provide yet another great example of the business potential within Lancashire, which Rosebud™ is then able to support.”
