Community CVS: Helping Lancashire’s Businesses to Grow

Community CVS is a Blackburn-based charity that supports individuals, organisations and the wider voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector across Lancashire. We empower people and organisations to realise their potential through accredited training, skills development and practical business support.

As an accredited training centre, we deliver high-quality learning opportunities designed to build leadership, improve organisational effectiveness and drive enterprise. Our offer includes targeted masterclasses, peer learning networks and structured business support tailored to meet the needs of local enterprises and start-ups.

Our Enterprise Bootcamp helps individuals take their first steps in business. The programme offers hands-on support in business planning, legal structures, marketing and finance, giving aspiring entrepreneurs the tools they need to launch and sustain successful ventures.

To support leadership at every level, we run two Leadership and Management programmes. One is aimed at established leaders seeking to strengthen strategic thinking, governance and performance. The second is designed for emerging leaders, focusing on developing confidence, communication and people management skills.

We also work with businesses to develop meaningful community engagement, including volunteering, partnership building and inclusive employment practices. 

By connecting businesses with the VCFSE sector, we help them enhance their social value, improve workforce wellbeing and contribute to a stronger local economy.
