What one top tip would you give to a business owner embarking on a growth plan?
Be best friends with your accountant – he/she should be a key member of your management team and you need to listen to their advice.

Why is Lancashire a great place to grow a business?
It’s a great community of businesses where everyone encourages you to succeed. There is a huge amount of support available to businesses of all sectors within the region, all you need to do is go out and seek it.

Why are you backing Boost Business Lancashire?
Boost is a fantastic support arena for businesses in Lancashire and I wish we’d had something like this many years ago. As a retired PLC director, I felt I had the experience to give back to industry what I’ve got out over all these years. I’ve worked with some amazing businesses since I got involved some 10 years ago, and I look forward to getting to know more of the region’s talented individuals in coming years.
