Shortlist revealed for return of Red Rose Awards

RRA21 shortlist story web
The Red Rose Awards has revealed the shortlist for its first post-pandemic celebration.

106 companies, ranging from start-ups to established global brands, will now progress to the presentations round, where they will be given one final chance to put forward their best case before a panel of expert judges.

The identities of those winners will be kept top secret until they are revealed on stage at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on November 25, 2021.

The black-tie evening attracts an audience of more than 1,000 each year and is usually held during March, but was postponed this year due to lockdown restrictions.

Two Zero is sponsoring this year's Scale-up Award. The shortlist for the award is below.

Amin Vepari, programme manager, Two Zero, said:  “Two Zero’s mission is to help the leaders of Lancashire scaleup businesses realise their ambition. There are some great fast-growing businesses among this year's Scaleup Award shortlist.

"We're proud to be partnering with the Red Rose Awards to help recognise these companies and hope we have the opportunity to work with them in future to help them achieve their growth targets. Good luck to all those on the shortlist!"

Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View and founder of the Red Rose Awards, said: “It has been fantastic to see a record-breaking number of entries flood in for this year’s awards after what has been a most difficult year for everybody.

“We have heard so many positive, optimistic stories of survival and success that demonstrate our county really is built on ingenuity, grit and determination, and I can’t wait until the judging event so that we can meet all of the new businesses and catch up with all the familiar faces who have made the shortlist.”

Richard added: “The Red Rose Awards is an evening of celebration, making new contacts and fun, and we’re thrilled that we are able to host it in 2021.”

The two days of presentations and in-person judging will take place on September 22 and 23 at Ewood Park, the home of Blackburn Rovers.

All finalists will be invited to a new and exclusive online interview preparation session with three-time winners of Red Rose Awards 2020, Sales Geek on September 15.
