Burnley-based fuel management business LCM Environmental Services has been crowned the Scaleup Award winner from a shortlist of six finalists at the Red Rose Awards 2026.
The annual awards were launched in 2011 to celebrate business excellence across the county and are hosted by business platform Lancashire Business View. This year’s event took place at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on Thursday evening (March 17).
The Scaleup Award recognises the best of Lancashire’s high-growth businesses, which must be able to demonstrate at least 20 per cent annual growth, and is sponsored by independent law firm Brabners.
LCM Environmental Services installs, maintains and futureproofs systems for clients across several sectors that manage or dispense fuel. It has experienced significant growth over recent years, including completing a rebrand and several strategic acquisitions to accelerate its expansion.
The company has also received scaleup support from Boost; Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub in a range of areas as part of its growth journey, including advice on how to structure the LCM Environmental Services leadership team effectively for growth and increasing the company’s profile.
Amin Vepari, business finance and scaleup lead, Lancashire County Council, said: “Scaling a business is a unique kind of challenge. It tests a business’s strategy, operations and leadership team to maintain consistent high growth and all this year’s Scaleup Award finalists deserve to be celebrated.
“Lancashire County Council has helped over a dozen finalists across this year’s Red Rose Awards category through our business support services, including both LCM and The Secret Garden Glamping in the Scaleup Award.
“LCM is a brilliant, innovative business which helps its clients improve efficiency and minimise waste. It’s heartening that Lancashire County Council has been part of its journey and I’m looking forward to witnessing the company’s continued growth in the coming years.”
