The manufacturing sector remains a key catalyst for economic growth in Türkiye and sector’s expansion has increased Türkiye’s integration into global supply chains, particularly in chemicals, construction, automotive, electronics, and textiles industries. The share of manufacturing (value-added) in Turkish GDP in 2023 was 19%, compared to an EU average of 15%. Türkiye has started to implement advanced manufacturing technologies increasingly with international companies leading the way. The companies that have adopted these technologies are mainly from the automotive and aviation industries.

Türkiye continues to be a major automotive production hub with facilities from several global manufacturers such as Ford Otosan, Fiat, Hyundai Assan, Mercedes-Benz, Renault and Toyota.
