SMEs are invited to join us for an inspiring breakfast event designed to empower you with practical tools, insights, and opportunities to grow and innovate. We are delighted to welcome Celia Gaze, founder of The Wellbeing Farm and University of Lancashire Entrepreneur in Residence, as our guest speaker. Celia will explore sustainability in business, drawing on her experience of transforming a rundown Lancashire hill farm into one of the UK’s best known sustainable events venues.
She will show how sustainability has been a driver of growth, resilience and commercial success. This session will focus on the practical business benefits for SMEs, including improved competitiveness, a stronger reputation and greater success in securing contracts, tenders and bids where sustainability credentials are increasingly expected. Celia will share realistic, low cost actions and easy wins that smaller businesses can implement to improve both sustainability and profitability. A TEDx speaker, author and award winning entrepreneur, Celia founded The Wellbeing Farm after leaving a senior NHS role due to burnout.
The business is nationally recognised for its environmentally responsible approach, from renewable energy and waste reduction to local sourcing and biodiversity. Celia is also the founder of B Corp Fest, a major celebration of purpose led business. And as always, at our events, you'll hear about the latest business support available from the University including information about internships and how you can recruit our talented students and graduates. We do hope you are able to join us and 50+ SME Centre members, as we aim to pave the way for a brighter future for you and your business.
