Canva Workshops for Burnley Businesses – Beginner & Advanced

Burnley businesses are invited to join this hands-on Canva workshop series designed to help you create high-quality graphics for your marketing, social media and promotional materials.

Whether you’re completely new to Canva or already using it and want to improve your designs, these practical sessions will help you build your skills step-by-step. You can choose to attend the beginner session, the advanced session, or both workshops depending on your experience level.

 
Workshop Overview
Each session is delivered in a practical, easy-to-follow format, giving you the opportunity to apply what you learn as you go.

🎨 Canva for Beginners
Tuesday 14 April | 5:30pm – 8:00pm

Ideal for businesses who are new to Canva or want to build confidence with the basics.

You will learn how to:

Navigate the Canva platform
Choose and customise templates
Create simple and effective social media graphics
Apply your brand colours, fonts and images
Download and share your designs
By the end of the session, you’ll have created your own professional graphic ready to use in your business.

 
🚀 Advanced Canva Workshop
Tuesday 28 April | 5:30pm – 8:00pm

Designed for businesses already using Canva who want to take their designs further.

This session will cover:

Creating consistent branded content
Using advanced tools including Brand Kits and presentations
Designing multi-page materials such as booklets
Canva Pro features and workflow tips
Introduction to video editing within Canva
 
Important Information
Please bring your own fully charged laptop and power cable
The workshop will take place in the lecture theatre within the Burnley College University Building
Spaces are limited — please book one place per business
After booking, you will receive a link to enrol with Burnley College
Please use your personal email address (not your business email) when enrolling
Once enrolled and after attending, you will gain temporary access to Canva Pro via a student email
Important: Enrolment must be completed by Friday 10 April. Places may be reallocated if this is not completed in time.

 
Venue Information
The workshops will be held at Burnley College – University Building.

There is ample parking available on site. If parking in the main college car park, cross the bridge and the University Building will be on your right before the rear entrance.

The lecture theatre is accessible via stairs and lift.

Please allow time to arrive, connect to WiFi and sign in at the registration desk. The session will begin promptly at 5:30pm.
