Taking time to consider the implications for your business and the need to be realistic within a timescale of what can be achieved is essential.

This short half day session will give practical tips and advice to enable your business to look at importing and consider the implications of compliance.

  • Brief introductions to why we import, market research, payment terms and Incoterms 2020 ®
  • Looking at your suppliers - Preparing an import enquiry, checking the quotation, negotiation and ordering 
  • Cost factors to consider on importing - Overview of HM Revenue and Customs regulations, embargoes, sanctions and other licences 
  • Overview of import documentation and import agents
