The Sales Xchange is a new programme from North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, delivered in partnership with Sellology. Through a series of interactive sessions, you'll pick up practical tools to sharpen your sales conversations, communicate with real clarity, and build the confidence to close more of what you're already chasing. You'll be learning from Leyla Jama and the Sellology team, with over 100 years of combined sales experience between them, distilled into sessions you can actually use.
Who's it for?
If you're the one responsible for winning new work, growing your accounts, developing relationships and keeping customers coming back — this one's for you. It's built for:
Business owners who need new work coming in consistently
Sales and Business Development professionals who want sharper conversations and more wins
Account managers looking for opportunities to grow existing accounts
Customer-facing teams who talk to clients every single day Any team you want more confident and more capable — whether that is internally or externally
Session 2: Elevator Pitches & FABs You know exactly what your business does. But can you explain it in a way that makes someone else immediately understand why it matters to them? When someone asks, “So, what do you do?”, it's easy to say too much, use industry language, list everything you offer or give an answer that doesn't quite land with the benefit... And when you're talking about your products and services, there's another common trap: talking about what they are, rather than what they actually do for the customer.
This session is about making your message clearer, simpler and much more customer-focused. We'll work through: Your elevator pitch — creating a clear and confident way of explaining who you are, what you do and why someone should want to know more Features — what your product or service has or does.
Benefits — why any of that actually matters to the person buying it. Putting it into your own language — so you leave with something that sounds like you, start with our proven framework and adapt to make it your own. You'll practise taking what you already know about you and your business, and turning it into language your customers can quickly understand. The aim isn't to give everyone the same pitch. It's to help you find your way of communicating your value clearly and confidently. You'll build and practise your own messaging during the session so you can use it in networking, meetings, sales calls, presentations and everyday customer conversations. No silly role plays, just real play.
Part of a Four-Session Sales Development Series This is Session 2 of 4, with each session building on the previous one to help you develop a complete sales toolkit:
Session 3: REACH Learn how to open new sales conversations and structure them for success.
Session 4: Objection Handling Turn customer concerns into opportunities to strengthen relationships and win business.
Measure Your Progress To help you track your development, you'll complete a short self-assessment before the programme begins and again after training. By comparing your results, you'll be able to clearly see how your skills, confidence and effectiveness have improved throughout the series. Whether you're just starting out in sales or looking to refine years of experience, you'll have tangible evidence of your progress.
