July 16, 2025

18:00 - 20:00

Preston

Society1 Coworking Space

Our next Live Work Create event invites local voices to explore how remembering and honoring our shared heritage can guide our city's future. What does it mean to remember a place? And why does it matter for the future of our city?

Join us for an evening of thought-provoking conversation as local voices come together to explore how Preston’s past continues to shape its present—and why remembering our shared history is vital as the city changes and grows. Shaping Preston’s Future by Remembering Its Past brings together community leaders, heritage advocates, and creatives to discuss how our history can inform how we move forward.

This event brings together local voices to reflect on the parts of Preston’s past that have shaped who we are today, and why remembering them matters. Panelists include:

•Ed Walker as chair - Editor and Founder of Blog Preston
•Pat Harrison – Chair of Friends of Winckley Square
•Emily Castle – Friends of Edith Rigby, Preserving Preston’s Heritage
•Peter Smith – prestonhistory.com

Whether you're passionate about local history, involved in community work, or just curious about Preston’s evolving story, we’d love to have you join us to explore how history can help us stay rooted, even as we look ahead.
Expect:
•Insightful discussion
•Local perspectives
•Big questions and honest conversation
•A chance to reflect on the city we call home
