This session will highlight what you need to know to be able to understand a simple customs declaration and the information needed for your customs broker or logistics provider.

09:30 Why do we need a customs declaration, who needs to know and why. What are the rules, penalties and benefits of getting them right. What is the customs declaration, the Government Gateway, how to pay for any duty liability (MOP) and your financial dashboard with PVA information.

11:00 Understanding data requirements. A guide to completion rules and data elements. A quick reference guide. Looking at an example of an export and import declaration. Example information to supply to a customs broker/freight forwarder. This session is suitable for those who need an understanding of Customs compliance and how to understand a basic Customs Declaration
