Watch Your Words: How Prompts Influence AI Energy Consumption? The growing popularity of Large Language Models presents many challenges, with one of the most important issues being high energy consumption. As the length of generated responses increases, computational costs and energy consumption scale proportionately. In my research, I am looking to find a solution through analysing prompts and looking at how optimised prompts can reduced the energy required for generation.
