April 25, 2024

16:30 - 18:30

Wyre

Wyred up (Wyre Council)

We're pleased to announce April's FREE Wyred Up event focusing on Tourism & Visitor Economy - attracting visitors and the infrastructure and services that support their visit.

The event will be held on Thursday 25 April 2024 at the fantastic Flowerbowl Entertainment Centre, Garstang Rd, Preston.

We start at 4.30pm for teas, coffees and networking, with speakers from 5pm. Our speakers are:

Glazey Days, still basking in the glory of Winning the Social Media Award at the 2023 Wyre Business Awards.

Dr. David Jarratt, Senior lecturer in Tourism and Event Management programmes at UCLan. David will explore sense of place and tourism.

Vikki Harris, Marketing & Partnership Director from Marketing Lancashire. Vikki will be talking about the value of the visitor economy and the impact that it makes more broadly, beyond just attracting visitors (hugely important to the economy as they are in their own right), but also attracting talent and investment.
