Boost launches Government-backed Peer Networks programme

Hundreds of Lancashire businesses have been given the opportunity to grow by building a targeted support network of likeminded leaders through a new Government-backed programme.

Peer Networks, which is being funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and led locally by Boost; Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub, will bring together business leaders to collaborate and overcome key common issues in a structured way.

The fully-funded scheme is available to Lancashire businesses more than a year old employing more than five people, with a turnover of more than £100,000 and an appetite to improve. It aims to help SMEs build resilience against a challenging economic backdrop, develop in-house capabilities and grow.

Boost programme manager Andrew Leeming shares his thoughts through a Video Story below:

Peer Networks includes interactive action learning, flexible topic selection and one to one coaching. Cohorts will cover areas of business including business resilience, finance, HR, sales and marketing.

Boost is Lancashire’s Business Growth Hub. It is led by the Lancashire LEP (Local Enterprise Partnership) and Lancashire County Council and supported by funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Peer Networks is funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) in response to a commitment made in the 2019 Business Productivity Review.

Businesses looking for more information should visit Boost's Peer Networks page or call 0800 488 0057.
