Scale Up Business of the Year 2023

Hyndburn-based electricity infrastructure provider Serconnect was crowned this year’s Scaleup Business of the Year as a wide range of high-growth businesses were celebrated at the Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBAs) 2023 on Friday (September 15).

The Scaleup category was sponsored by Two Zero for the third consecutive year. Serconnect, which is currently taking part in Two Zero’s Scaleup Leaders Network, was presented with the award by Phillippa Williamson, leader of Lancashire County Council.

Other winners on the night included Burnley-based Scope Fire & Security, which is also taking part in Scaleup Leaders Network. The company took home the Service Business of the Year award.

Phillippa Williamson, leader, Lancashire County Council said: “Figures show that the success of fast-growing businesses benefits the whole economy and there are so many success stories of scaleups growing their staff and investing in their supply chains right across Lancashire.

“Serconnect is a prime example of this and a well-deserved winner of the scaleup category. I’m hugely proud that through Two Zero, Lancashire County Council has supported the company on its inspiring journey.

“The BIBAs is about recognising and celebrating the passion and diversity of the Lancashire business community so I’d like to congratulate all of this year’s winners and finalists for their hard work and dedication in contributing to the county’s success.”
