The support provided

Uni-play was given help and support on how to grow the two-year-old business by the Pennine LEAP business start up programme.

The programme provides intensive coaching, mentoring, HR specialists, social enterprise and international trade support to non-retail enterprises. The programme also provides financial support and the benefit of an experienced business mentor for up to two years.

Results

Thanks to coaching from Pennine LEAP’s business experts, Uni-play have re-positioned themselves in the marketplace and are now targeting new customers including global playground equipment manufacturers such as Kompan UK, the Lego distributor for the UK.

Uni-play have already outgrown their premises and have moved to new offices. They are also now recruiting staff.

Feedback

“I would not hesitate to recommend the Pennine LEAP programme. It gives the tools, support and expertise to build your business. It has boosted our ambitions and revenues considerably. As a business owner for 2 years, I did not know this level of support was out there.”

- Paul Riley, Managing Director of Uni-play Ltd
