The Made Smarter Adoption programme connects manufacturing businesses to the digital tools they need to increase productivity, reduce waste and become more competitive.

Manufacturing and engineering SMEs can access a range of fully-funded support services,  from free-to-access impartial expert advice, to digital transformation planning, leadership and skills training and up to 50% matched grant funding.

The Support available from Made Smarter

• ·       Digital Transformation Workshops - A detailed diagnostic and assessment process will help firms to develop a strategic action plan towards technology adoption.
• ·       Transformation Roadmap – Made Smarter help to develop an action plan for adopting digital technology in a bespoke roadmap, which could involve participating in a leadership development programme, being offered a digital internship placement, or receiving a match funded grant.
• ·       Leadership & Skills Training - Delivered through a blend of workshops, site visits and facilitated-learning sessions, the Made Smarter leadership programmes give you the skills to bring your team through your digital transformation.
• ·       Grant Funding - Up to 50% match funding (Maximum of £20,000) is available for equipment and/or software to implement projects
• ·       A funded Digital Intern - Funded support in your digital transformation journey by the expertise of a student or recent graduate.

Eligibility Criteria:

Made Smarter support is available to SME manufacturing or engineering companies with:

• ·       249 employees or less
• ·       A turnover of less than £36 million, or a balance sheet less than £18 million.
• ·       Additionally, a significant portion of your manufacturing operations must be based in England
